Sunderland have announced another Deadline Day loan signing as striker Antoine Semenyo joins from Championship outfit Bristol City.
The 20-year-old will be on loan for the remainder of the season after making seven first-team appearances for the Robins in the Championship already this season.
He’ll be available for tomorrow’s League One encounter with promotion rivals Portsmouth.
Fans have been reacting to his arrival on Twitter, and it’s clear to see they are absolutely thrilled by the move…
A plethora of GIFs and memes were used to emphasise just how excited some fans were, as seen above, whilst others were a little more reserved in their approach.
Semenyo’s arrival was described as “massive” and “shrewd” with one fan going on to explain how he could be the difference-maker at the club.

Another supporter said the striker would bag over 25 goals for the rest of the campaign while a further member of the Black Cats faithful added that he was ‘buzzing.’
A couple of others wanted the 20-year-old to start against Pompey tomorrow afternoon too.
There was even praise for chairman Stewart Donald with one supporter describing his decision as a “blinder.”
It remains to be seen if he will start down at Fratton Park, but you’d imagine he’s likely to feature considering he has travelled with the squad.
