Patrick Bamford doesn’t get an easy ride from Leeds fans.
Indeed, although the striker has scored 12 league goals this term, he’s often made out to be one of the worst attackers in the division, and that was no different last night.
The 26-year-old squandered a few chances before half time, and supporters didn’t let him get off easy with fans on social media making their feelings rather clear.
Of course, this criticism wouldn’t last all that long as the attacker was instrumental in Leeds’ comeback as he netted two goals when United came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2.

The striker wasn’t all that overjoyed after netting the winning goal as his goal celebration was seemingly targeted at his critics
As can be seen in the image above, Bamford cupped his ears as though he was silencing the doubters, and to be fair to him he proved everyone wrong in that second half.
Fans seemed to respect the fact that he seemed to have a dig at them with his celebration.
The striker would once again allude to the fact that he wasn’t too happy with the way he was treated by the Leeds supporters in his post-match interview, and can you really blame him?
He may not be the division’s top scorer, but 12 goals is a respectable tally, and perhaps it’s time for fans to get off his back.
In other news, Andrea Radrizzani made his feelings very clear on one huge talking point.
