Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has revealed his latest set of Premier League predictions for the upcoming fixtures this weekend, and he believes the spoils will be shared when Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur in the latest north London derby at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners come into the clash having made a disappointing start to the season, with four defeats from their 11 top flight fixtures already seeing them trail leaders Manchester City by 12 points.
Arsene Wenger’s sixth-placed side are currently only above Burnley on goal difference, and they will be keen to close the gap on Spurs – who are currently three places and four points ahead of them in the standings – to ensure that they don’t finish below them again as they did last term.
Meanwhile, Tottenham come into this fixture looking to try and keep the pressure up on City and compete for the title for the third successive campaign, but their defeats against Chelsea and Manchester United this term suggest they still struggle against the biggest clubs in the Premier League.

Despite missing both of England’s friendly matches, Mauricio Pochettino is expected to have Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Harry Winks available, while Christian Eriksen should be full of confidence having scored a hat-trick for Denmark against the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday.
However, Merson doesn’t believe the two teams will be separated at the Emirates this weekend.
The 49-year-old said: “I am going to go for the draw, but that’s only in the hope! If both teams turn up, you just see Tottenham winning. I think home advantage in a tight game, I like to go 1-1.
“As long as the Tottenham players have had a good rest, they did not go away on international duty, which is a big advantage, so I think Arsenal will settle for a draw.”
Arsenal have only been beaten once at home to Tottenham in the Premier League since 1993 – a 3-2 win for Spurs at the Emirates in 2010.
