Adam Lallana has really come into his own under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool have thrived with his attacking contributions in the side this season, helping the Reds fight their way back into Champions League contention.Whilst he has hit a bit of a lull in his performances lately, not contributing directly to a Premier League goal since the turn of the year, Lallana still stands as the most efficient attacker in the top-flight of English football this season.
With seven goals and seven assists, including setting up Georginio Wijnaldum’s winning goal in the 1-0 victory over Manchester City, England international Lallana has impressed in front of goal himself and providing opportunities to his team-mates.
A flurry of stand-out performances at the back-end of 2016, which saw Lallana hit four goals in four appearances, helped to establish Lallana as one of the finest players in the league and he’s set to be a crucial part of Gareth Southgate’s new-look England side.
Overall, only Kevin De Bruyne, Kevin Phillips and Christian Eriksen have more assists than the midfielder, whilst Dele Alli is the only central midfielder to have found the net more than Lallana.
