He’s got every right to be over the moon with his 23rd year. He captained his boyhood club to promotion in a campaign that culminated in a playoff final win at Wembley.

He signed off his birthday tweet by saying ‘Here’s to the next year’.

It’s going to be tough for Grealish to improve on the last 12 months, but if he helps the Villans to a good cup run or plays a huge part in a good league finish it will certainly come close.
