Spurs face Manchester United in the final of Europa League on Wednesday, with both teams aiming for glory in Bilbao. Postecoglou's side have endured a miserable campaign but could end on a real high by winning a first trophy since 2008 and securing a place in next season's Champions League.

Head coach Postecoglou has famously claimed he "always wins things" in his second year at clubs and will be hoping to keep that his team can deliver in Spain. The Australian has come in for plenty of criticism this season but Van de Ven says the team are eager to win the game for their manager.
WHAT VAN DE VEN SAID
He told GQ: "We want to win for the gaffer, of course. Everyone knows he’s said he always wins things in his second year [at a club]. It’s a nice quote for him and it would make it even more beautiful if we can make it happen! He has been so positive the whole season and made sure that no one ever lets their head down even if we played a terrible game. We never had a feeling that he was giving up on us; he’s always kept pushing us. That’s why at the end of a tough season we still believe we will win."

Tottenham have already beaten Manchester United three times this season and will aim for another victory on Wednesday night. Yet even another win may not be enough to keep Postecoglou at Spurs, with suggestions he will depart even if he does taste glory in the Europa League final.
