Barca face Osasuna in La LigaFerran forced off injuredSpaniard visibly distraughtWHAT HAPPENED?
The Spaniard lined up in a front three alongside Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal for the league clash but could only manage six minutes before picking up an injury. Torres went down with what looked like a serious knock before leaving the pitch in tears, holding his shirt and then hands over his face as the medical team helped him off. The injury is yet another blow to Barcelona and Xavi.

The Blaugrana boss is already struggling with limited numbers. Xavi's threadbare squad got thrashed by rivals Real Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana final, were eliminated from the Copa del Rey quarter-finals by Athletic Club, and saw the gap at the top of the league grow to 10 points with a recent 5-3 loss at home to Villarreal. Torres joins a long list of names in the treatment room, which includes Joao Felix, Raphinha, Sergi Roberto, Inigo Martinez and Marcos Alonso. The likes of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Alejandro Balde and Gavi are also nursing long-term problems.
DID YOU KNOW?
Torres' absence will be sorely felt by Xavi as the 23-year-old has been in fine form this season for the Catalan giants. He has recorded 11 goals and three assists in 31 appearances so far this term, his best numbers in a Barcelona shirt.

The Spanish forward will await medical tests and hope – alongside Barcelona and Xavi – that the issue isn't too serious. The Blaugrana still have league and European crowns to fight for, but their chances of winning either will be significantly diminished with Torres out of the side.
